Mohammadkhani Still in Custody

TEHRAN, September 1 (Mehr News Agency) – Former striker of Iran and Persepolis, Nasser Mohammadkhani, is still in custody for interrogation on murder of his wife.

Nasser has been debriefed since some 20 days ago and nobody has heard of him,” said a close relative of former coach of Persepolis Monday.

“We referred and inquired about his conditions but we received no information,” said the kin adding “We had no alternative but hire two experienced lawyers to follow up the issue through legal procedures.”

He said Mohammadkhani was not in Iran when the murder happened and no charge could be leveled against him.

“Children of Nasser are looking forward to reuniting with their father,” he said.

Laleh Saharkhizan, a mother of two boys, was ruthlessly killed at her home near Ketabi Square, northern Tehran, on October 9, 2002 when her husband Nasser Mohammadkhani was accompanying Persepolis in a training camp in Germany.
